EMRD (Eritrean Muslim Relief & Development) is a faith-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting Eritrean Muslim communities locally and abroad. We empower communities through mosque and school development, Islamic education, and timely support during religious and humanitarian crises.
Mission: To support Eritrean Muslim communities by funding mosques, Islamic schools, and religious education, while responding to urgent religious, educational, and community needs — transparently, respectfully, and nonpolitically.
Our Core Activities
Mosque Building & Renovation
Providing communities with safe, accessible, and spiritually uplifting spaces for worship.
Islamic Education
Supporting students and educators through scholarships, teacher funding, and classrooms to strengthen Islamic knowledge.
Community Support & Advocacy
Providing emergency relief and assistance, supporting Eritrean Muslims or imams when their beliefs or rights are under threat.
Awareness & Outreach
Spreading knowledge about Islam, conducting culturally sensitive da‘wah, and running educational campaigns.
