Prevention & Response / Advocacy Department
Protecting the Rights, Dignity, and Beliefs of Eritrean Muslims Locally and Abroad.
About the Prevention & Response / Advocacy Department
We are dedicated to protecting and defending the rights, dignity, and beliefs of Eritrean Muslims wherever they may be threatened. This includes responding to incidents of discrimination, supporting imams and community leaders, and advocating for justice and religious freedom through lawful and peaceful means.
By standing firm in defense of our community, we strive to uphold Islamic principles, safeguard the wellbeing of our people, and ensure that their faith and rights are respected and protected in every environment.
Please note: our department operates strictly within legal boundaries and does not engage in political activity or actions that break local or national laws. Our mission is narrowly focused on matters of faith and religious freedom — defending the rights, dignity, and beliefs of Eritrean Muslims when those rights are threatened because of religion. We respond to incidents such as discrimination for belief, attacks on places of worship, and support requests from imams or community leaders, and we always pursue lawful, peaceful, and constructive remedies in partnership with local authorities and trusted partners.
Through collaboration with local leaders, scholars, and international partners, we work to create a safe and just environment where Eritrean Muslims can practice their faith freely, confidently, and without fear.
