Leads all departments and teams with sincerity, clarity, and purpose — ensuring every effort stays true to the mission of serving Eritrean Muslims and strengthening the Ummah.

Under his leadership, EMRD continues to grow as a united, faith-driven organization — dedicated to rebuilding the foundation of Islamic life in Eritrea through education, masajid, humanitarian service, and the protection of our people. All for the sake of Allah and the betterment of our communities.

Sheikh Ahmed Idris

Director of Islamic Education

Director of Development & Infrastructure

Manages construction and renovation of masajid and schools, ensuring safe, inclusive, and inspiring spaces for worship and learning.

Sister Fatima Saleh

Director of Relief & Humanitarian Programs

Leads emergency response and humanitarian aid, ensuring relief reaches those most in need with dignity and care.

Hassan Abubakar

Director of Advocacy & Community Protection

Defends rights, dignity, and beliefs of Eritrean Muslims; supports imams and advocates for justice and religious freedom.

Dr. Sami Ibrahim

Director of Strategic Partnerships & External Relations

Builds global partnerships with Islamic NGOs, coordinates collaborations, and manages EMRD’s international representation.

Amina Tesfai

Director of Media & Communications

Manages communications, awareness campaigns, and public messaging to strengthen EMRD’s mission and voice.

Mohammed Ali

Director of Fundraising & Resource Development

Oversees fundraising, grant development, and donor engagement to ensure financial growth and sustainability.
